Sharks’ Logan Couture scratched for game vs. Philadelphia Flyers

PHILADELPHIA — Logan Couture was scratched from Saturday’s game against the Philadelphia Flyers for yet unknown reasons. He is considered day-to-day, the team said.

In Couture’s place, the Sharks had Patrick Marleau as their second line center in pregame warmups with Kevin Labanc and Mikkel Boedker as his wingers. Labanc was originally going to be a scratch for Saturday’s game.

Melker Karlsson was on the Sharks’ top line with Joe Thornton and Joe Pavelski, and Tomas Hertl center the third line with Joel Ward and Timo Meier. Chris Tierney centered the fourth line with Micheal Haley and Marcus Sorensen on the wings.
