SAN JOSE — Center Logan Couture and forward Tomas Hertl both made it clear Tuesday that they want to remain with the Sharks long-term.
Couture, who had a team-high 34 goals this past regular season, will be going into the final season of a five-year, $30 million contract he signed prior to the start of the 2013-14 season.
“I’ve always made it pretty clear that this is the place I want to play,” Couture said Tuesday when the Sharks players were cleaning out their lockers and completing exit interviews. “I’m biased, obviously, but this is the best place to play hockey in the world.
