Sharks center Logan Couture, who was second on the team in goals (27) and points (67) last season, could be sidelined for Friday’s game in New Jersey — and maybe for many more games — after he was hurt during practice Thursday in Newark, N.J., CSN California and the San Jose Mercury News reported.
Couture went down to the ice during a 5-on-5 drill, CSNCA reported. He injured his right foot and was on crutches and wearing a walking boot, the Mercury News reported.
General manager Doug Wilson told the newspaper that he would know more about Couture’s status Friday.
