NEWARK, N.J. — Kevin Labanc is hoping to build on what was a solid return to the NHL when the Sharks face the New Jersey Devils on Sunday to close out what’s been a dreary road trip so far.
On Saturday afternoon against the Philadelphia Flyers, Labanc assisted on Patrick Marleau’s power play goal in the third period and had a first period goal reversed after a challenge by Flyers coach Dave Hakstol. Labanc finished with a five shots on goal in 17:07 of ice time, both career-highs, in the Sharks 2-1 overtime loss at Wells Fargo Center.
