SAN JOSE — There probably wasn’t much doubt to begin with, but Joe Thornton said he’d be ready to go again for Game 4 of the Sharks’ first round playoff series against the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday at SAP Center.
Thornton had 16:27 of ice time in Sunday’s Game 3, his first game this postseason after he suffered a left knee injury April 2 against Vancouver.
Sharks coach Pete DeBoer said after the game it was a “gutsy” performance by Thornton, who was clearly still not close to full strength and faded as the game went on.
