ST. LOUIS — From a corner of the dressing room following the Sharks’ 6-3 win over the Blues on Monday, forward Dainius Zubrus attempted to describe what makes Joe Pavelski special.
“It’s just kind of a quiet confidence that he has,” said Zubrus, who has 1,293 regular-season games and now 100 playoff games on his resume. “I think obviously him and Jumbo (Joe Thornton), they play well together, they know their spots. On the power play, the two of them are as good as I’ve seen anybody really play.
“Obviously, he’s our captain, he’s our leader, just the way he approaches things, it doesn’t seem like anything changes his game or rattles him, and we feed off of that.
