SAN JOSE — Sharks forward Barclay Goodrow spent the first four seasons of his professional career fighting for an NHL job. Now he knows where he’s going to be for at least the next two years.
The Sharks announced Thursday afternoon that they’ve signed Goodrow to a two-year contract extension that goes through the 2020-2021 season. Goodrow, 25, was slated to become a restricted free agent with arbitration rights at the end of this season.
A source confirmed that Goodrow’s deal carries an average annual value of $925,000. The Athletic was the first to report the financial terms.
