Sharks forward Tomas Hertl has officially been named to the Czech Republic’s roster for the upcoming IIHF World Championships.
The tournament will be held in his home country, beginning on May 1.
It will be the third straight year that Hertl will compete in the Worlds. The 21-year-old had 3 goals and 6 points in 9 games for the Czech Republic last year, joining the team after the Sharks were eliminated in the first round the Stanley Cup playoffs. He also tweaked his surgically repaired right knee in the tournament, setting back his offseason training regimen.
Hertl had 13 goals and 31 points in 82 games with the Sharks in 2014-15.
