SAN JOSE — It never felt like the Sharks were ever out of their first round playoff series with the Edmonton Oilers. It never felt like they were in command, either.
That’s likely because the series, which ended Saturday with the Oilers’ 3-1 win in Game 6 that knocked the Sharks out of the postseason, really only came down to a handful of plays.
Edmonton got critical goals from Zack Kassian in Game 3, Oscar Klefbom in Game 5 and Saturday night, Leon Draisaitl and Anton Slepyshev off of uncommon sequences with the Sharks on the attack.
