FARMER’S BRANCH, Texas — Forwards Jannik Hansen and Melker Karlsson both returned to practice Thursday but their availability to play won’t be known until before Friday’s game against the Dallas Stars.
Karlsson and Hansen both skated in orange, non-contact jerseys on Thursday as the Sharks went through a 35-minute practice outside of Dallas at the Stars’ practice facility.
“I’m not prepared to say they’re in tomorrow, but it’s a good sign they’re on the ice and participated,” Sharks coach Pete DeBoer said.
DeBoer said both Hansen and Karlsson can get a skate in with some contact Friday morning if the team feels they’re close to full health.
