SAN JOSE — Sharks goalie Martin Jones lists New Jersey Devils icon Martin Brodeur as one of his hockey idols. Monday, he made an attempt to put himself in the same rarified air as Brodeur by being one of the few goalies to score a goal in an NHL game.
It didn’t go as planned.
Martin Jones tried to score on an empty net down the ice.
