SAN JOSE — Sharks general manager Doug Wilson confirmed Sunday he is presently working with Paul Martin and his agent to explore trade options.
Martin was a scratch for the seventh straight game Saturday night when Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman mentioned on Hockey Night in Canada the Sharks were looking to move Martin via trade. Martin did not travel with the Sharks when they left San Jose for Los Angeles, where they will begin a three-game road trip that continues through Arizona and Colorado.
There is a chance that Martin could be placed on waivers in the next day or two.
