The Sharks also sent next year’s third-round pick to the Coyotes in exchange for a 2017 sixth-round choice and the rights to forward Maxim Letunov, who led UConn with 16 goals and 40 points during his recently completed freshman season.
The Sharks do not have a first-round pick Friday, having traded it to Boston in exchange for goalie Martin Jones last June, certainly a good move in hindsight.
