SAN JOSE — The Sharks’ organizational depth at forward helped pave the way for Nikolay Goldobin to be traded to another team, general manager Doug Wilson said Wednesday.
Goldobin and a conditional 2017 fourth round draft choice were sent to the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday for forward Jannik Hansen in the Sharks’ only move before the NHL trade deadline on Wednesday at noon (PST).
The fourth round pick sent to the Canucks becomes a first round pick if the Sharks win the Stanley Cup this year.
“We’ve got six or seven young guys that are all ready to play,” Wilson said.
