Sharks get contributions from many in 5-2 win over Panthers

Five Sharks scored and backup goalie Alex Stalock recorded his first win of the season as San Jose beat the Florida Panthers 5-2 at SAP Center on Thursday night.

Stalock stopped 31 shots in his third start of the season in place of starter Martin Jones, who was pulled after two periods in Tuesday’s loss. Stalock, who was 0-2 with a 3.94 goals-against average and .847 save percentage, won for the first time since April 1.

San Jose center Chris Tierney scored his second goal of the season into an empty net at 18:54, giving center Joe Thornton his second assist of the game.
