Sharks winger Evander Kane was suspended for three games by NHL’s Department of Player Safety on Saturday for elbowing Winnipeg Jets defenseman Neal Pionk.
Kane, who was suspended at the start of the season for three games for physical abuse of officials, and was therefore considered a repeat offender, had a hearing Saturday morning with the league. In the third period of Friday’s game between the Sharks and Jets in Winnipeg, Kane was given a two-minute elbowing penalty at the 13:17 mark of the third period.
