Sharks forward Evander Kane felt a member of the officiating crew was unnecessarily aggressive with him in the late stages of Sunday’s tumultuous preseason game with the Vegas Golden Knights at T-Mobile Arena.
Following an altercation with Golden Knights defenseman Deryk Engelland with 7:09 left in the third period, Kane believed he was needlessly brought to the ice surface by linesman Kiel Murchison.
“It’s funny how, if you look at the way I get treated out there when it comes to the scrums or whatever it may be, what the other team’s trying to do to me, there’s a massive difference compared to everybody else on the ice,” Kane said.
