The Sharks wrapped up the 2015 preseason on a low note Saturday, falling to the division rival Ducks 5-1 in Anaheim.
San Jose got on the board first, once again capitalizing on special teams. The first score of the game was a Dylan DeMelo power-play goal on netminder Frederik Andersen in the second frame. Nikolay Goldobin, last year’s first-round pick, made the assist.
The Sharks' lead didn’t last long, however, as Ducks star forward Corey Perry punched one in past Alex Stalock just 2:14 later, tying the game at one-all.
Anaheim carried that momentum forward, scoring another second-period goal, this time from Cam Fowler.
