SAN JOSE – Sharks defenseman David Schlemko was spotted on the ice Sunday for the first time since suffering a lower body injury on March 2.
The 29-year-old skated lightly without pads, and there is still no timetable for him to return.
Schlemko went with the Sharks on a two-game road trip to Minnesota and Winnipeg on March 5-6, and the indications were that his injury wouldn’t keep him out long. Sunday’s game against Dallas, though, will be the fifth in a row that he won’t dress.
When asked if the injury was more serious than originally believed, coach Pete DeBoer said: “Probably a little longer than I thought, but I wouldn’t call it serious.
