SAN JOSE — Sharks coach Pete DeBoer isn’t messing with success. Not after his team just swept the Anaheim Ducks in the first round of the NHL playoffs.
DeBoer is not anticipating making any lineup changes for the start of the Sharks’ second round series against the Vegas Golden Knights next week, with Game 1 possibly on Wednesday or Thursday.
Asked if he might reevaluate the makeup of his defense corps for the Sharks’ series against the Golden Knights, with Joakim Ryan a possibility to replace Paul Martin as Brent Burns’ defense partner, DeBoer said, “We just won four straight against a great hockey team and I’d be an idiot to make lineup changes.
