The Sharks’ Logan Couture has been sidelined after an arterial bleed was found in his leg and there is no timetable for his return to the ice, according to a statement from the team on Friday.
“In Wednesday night’s game in Edmonton, Logan suffered trauma to his right thigh, creating a Charley-horse effect which prohibited him from returning to the game,” said general manager Doug Wilson in the statement. “Upon returning to San Jose, it was discovered that there was a small arterial bleed in the area. (Thursday) night, Logan underwent a successful procedure in San Jose to close the artery and is expected to make a full recovery.
