DALLAS — As the Sharks continue their search for fourth line consistency, head coach Pete DeBoer is leaving open the possibility that the team could seek help on the trade market if things don’t change quickly.
The phrase “rolling four lines” got embedded into the brains of Sharks fans shortly after DeBoer took over coaching duties in 2016. Four line play is central to DeBoer’s brand of hockey. But the Sharks have struggled to put that idea into practice over the first 29 games of the season, which could inspire general manager Doug Wilson to go shopping for his coach if the problem persists.
