Sharks coach discusses Haley’s role: “we’re going to play him”

PITTSBURGH — Micheal Haley’s “vacation” is over. On Thursday, he’ll get back at work, rejoining the Sharks lineup after a two-year sabbatical with the Florida Panthers.

In a span of just 72 hours, Haley went from being the castaway of a non-playoff team to landing a spot in the lineup of a squad that’s a top contender for the Stanley Cup. After getting waived by the Panthers on Tuesday, Haley got picked up by his former-team on Wednesday, getting inserted into the lineup immediately for Thursday’s bout with the Pittsburgh Penguins.

“You get that little bit of a coming home feeling,” Haley said.
