SAN JOSE — Making a move to bolster their forward depth, the Sharks claimed Stefan Noesen off waivers from the Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday morning.
Noesen, 26, had one goal for the Penguins this season as he averaged nine minutes and 51 seconds of ice time in six games.
In 165 career NHL games with the Anaheim Ducks, New Jersey Devils and Penguins, Noesen has 25 goals, 46 points 88 penalty minutes.
In the 2017-18 season with the Devils, Noesen had a career high 27 points, including 13 goals, 14 assists. As of Thursday morning, it is unknown when Noesen would be able to join the Sharks.
