ST. PAUL, Minn. — The Sharks broke through with their first goal in almost seven full periods on Tuesday night against the Minnesota Wild.
It took only another few seconds, though, to dig themselves another hole that they couldn’t escape.
Goals 15 seconds apart by Martin Hanzal and Charlie Coyle late in the second period proved to be the Sharks’ undoing as they lost their fourth straight, this time 3-2 to the Wild at Xcel Energy Center.
David Schlemko’s goal with 2:03 left in the second period was the Sharks’ first since the 19:13 mark of Saturday’s game against the Anaheim Ducks.
