Sharks' brutal past in NHL's Western Conference finals

SAN JOSE -- The Sharks are back in the Western Conference finals for the fourth time in franchise history, thanks to Thursday's 5-0 Game 7 domination of the Nashville Predators.

When they meet up with the St. Louis Blues for Game 1 on Sunday, they can only hope that's the start of a more enjoyable experience than the previous three for a franchise still searching for its first appearance in the Stanley Cup Final.Here's a look back at the Sharks' three previous appearances in the Western Conference finals, where they are a combined 3-12:
