The San Jose Sharks (8-15-4, seventh Pacific) face the Buffalo Sabres (10-13-1, eighth Atlantic) on Sunday for the second half of a back-to-back that will close out the road trip. Following a defeat against the Ottawa Senators on Saturday, the Sharks look to end the road trip on a high note.
Despite Tomas Hertl’s two first-period goals, the Sharks went down neatly on Saturday night. The team put up 37 shots to Ottawa’s 39, but goaltender Anton Forsberg shut them out in the second and third periods. Buffalo also dropped their most recent contest, six to four against the Colorado Avalanche on Thursday evening.
