Thanks to Columbus Day, then NHL has three games starting early today, with two of them including Pacific Division teams because why not? Can’t imagine anyone in Bay or Vegas minds waking up for a 10 a.m. puck drop on a Monday because of holiday that no one gets off anymore, right?
The good news may be that you won’t be missing much if you choose to sleep in. Lou’s new New York Islanders are without John Tavares and their stock has dropped significantly since these teams last met on October 21, 2017.
If anything, the note-worthy part of this game will be seeing how San Jose stacks up without Joe Thornton.
