Although the San Jose Sharks fell to the Vegas Golden Knights in a 5-4 shootout loss, Saturday’s game was the first appearance for many of the regular starters. After going 2-1 against the Golden Knights and Anaheim Ducks, the Sharks welcome another Pacific Division foe in the Calgary Flames.
The Flames began their preseason in China with a two-game series against the Boston Bruins. However, back here in North America, the Flames have iced out a young lineup with most of their starters overseas. Now less than a week removed from their trip to Asia, it wouldn’t be out of the question for some regular starters to appear in the Flames lineup against the Sharks.
