The San Jose Sharks have cut their professional roster down to 24 players, the team announced today.
Most of the cuts aren’t a surprise, but one roster regular from the 2016-17 season, Marcus Sorensen, is among those returning to the AHL at the moment.

Danny O’Regan, a popular candidate for one of the extra skater slots, will also return to the Sharks’ AHL affiliate.
The final(ish) roster is here. The team currently has 7 defensemen and 15 forwards, so one more player will have to be sent down before opening night.
