SAN JOSE — Sharks Fan Fest will feature one interesting twist this year when the event is held Sept. 22 at SAP Center.
For the first time, members of the Professional Women’s Hockey Players Association will play Sharks alumni and personalities in the “Legends” Game — typically held in the evening to conclude the day’s events.
Among the PWHPA participants will be two-time Olympic medalist Kendall Coyne Schofield, who became the first woman to compete in the NHL All-Star Skills Competition when the event was held in San Jose in January.
Coyne Schofield competed in the Fastest Skater Competition, providing one of the more memorable moments of NHL All-Star Weekend.
