SAN JOSE -- The Sharks are going to great lengths to find the perfect home for a cat that became a social media darling earlier this week. At least, a better home than SAP Center.
The Sharks announced Sunday they are making arrangements to transfer the cat, named "Joe PAW-velski" to a local animal shelter, where it will undergo a full health examination and a microchip scan, to ensure it does not already have an owner.More from the Sharks' press release:"Friday night, just before warm-ups a small, black cat emerged from the player bench area and subsequently made his way onto the ice, running along the boards towards the giant Shark Head.
