General manager Doug Wilson announced yesterday that the San Jose Sharks had issued bonafide offers to the following players from the 2014 NHL Draft: Dylan Sadowy, Saginaw (OHL); Kevin Labanc, Barrie (OHL); Alex Schoenborn, Portland (WHL); Alexis Vanier, Sherbrooke (QMJHL).
By issuing these offers, the Sharks will retain their negotiating rights. Sadowy and Schoenborn were both third-round selections, while Vanier was a fourth-round pick and Labanc was a sixth-round pick for San Jose.
Labanc was the one who put up the largest numbers this year, registering 31 goals and 76 assists in 68 games for Barrie, while adding two goals and four assists in nine playoff games.
