SAN JOSE — Evander Kane and Ryan Reaves have known each other for a while, dating back more than a decade when Kane was with the Vancouver Giants and Reaves played for the Brandon Wheat Kings in the Western Hockey League.
Hate’s a strong word, but it’s fair to say the two have developed a healthy dislike for one another over the years. Add in the fact that the Sharks and Golden Knights are playing each other in the playoffs for the second straight year, and emotions are bound to bubble to the surface.
Wednesday’s Game 1 was just the latest example.
