Rouyn-Noranda Huskies, Timo Meier win QMJHL championship

For the first time in franchise history, the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies won the Presidents Cup to be named QMJHL champions. Sharks prospect Timo Meier scored and had an assist in the victory to finish with 23 points. That puts him at sixth overall, just seven points the playoff leader (Huskies teammate Francis Perron).

Meier scored the second goal and his assist came on the Huskies' seventh goal of the evening. Check out all the highlights here.

Now Meier and the Huskies compete in the Memorial Cup against the champions of the OHL, the London Knights (Joe Thornton and Logan Couture's junior team) and WHL (winner between the Seattle Thunderbirds and Brandon Wheat Kings).
