DALLAS — Forward Noah Rod has signed an entry-level contract with the Sharks, the team officially announced Friday.
CapFriendly reported the deal, which begins next season, to be three years with an annual cap hit of $763,333. Renaud Lavoie reported the deal was signed Thursday.
Rod, 20, the Sharks’ second round draft pick in 2014, had five goals and nine assists in 27 games with Genève-Servette of the National League A in Switzerland this season.
In 137 career games in National League A from 2013-17, Rod had 37 points, including 14 goals. Known as someone who plays with an edge, Rod also had 64 penalty minutes.
