SAN JOSE –- Injuries are a part of every NHL team’s season. Some are more significant than others, of course, but being able to maintain a respectable level of play with key pieces out is always going to be vital.
No one in the Sharks dressing room is going to blame the team’s sudden tailspin to losing guys like Logan Couture and Paul Martin, but it’s becoming painfully clear just how important those two players are to their overall success. Another thumping on Thursday, this one at the hands of the rival Kings, 4-1, was the latest example.
