PHILADELPHIA -– Eight days and four games in, the Sharks looked decidedly road weary from the second period on in their game against the struggling Flyers on Thursday night.
Except their goalie.
Martin Jones swiped two points for his club with 34 saves, and was the best player for either side in a 1-0 Sharks overtime win. San Jose (11-8-0) improved to 4-0-0 on its season-long six-game trip that continues on Saturday in Pittsburgh.
“Tonight it was a goalie win for us,” coach Pete DeBoer said. “You’ve got to get timely contributions at different points from everybody.
