SAN JOSE — The Sharks have agreed to terms with defenseman Radim Simek, according to a report out of the Czech Republic.
Simek’s agent, Petr Hemsky, confirmed to iSport out of the Czech Republic that the 24-year-old has chosen to sign a one-year, two-way deal with the Sharks that could be worth up to $830,000 if he stays in the NHL. The Sharks did not immediately return a message about the reported signing.
Simek, listed at 5-foot-11 and 196 pounds, has competed in the World Championship for the Czech Republic for the past two years. In this year’s tournament, which concluded Sunday, Simek had a goal and an assist in eight games.
