SAN JOSE — Joe Pavelski’s time with the Sharks is coming to an end.
Pavelski will sign a three-year contract with the Dallas Stars on Monday, Darren Dreger of TSN reported, ending a remarkable tenure in San Jose that began when he was drafted in the seventh round by the Sharks in 2003. David Pagnotta of the Fourth Period in Toronto reported the deal will have an average annual value of $7 million.
Pavelski,34, has spent the last 13 seasons with the Sharks, becoming a three-time NHL All-Star and a two-time Olympian with Team USA. He leaves as the Sharks’ second all-time leader in goals (355) and plus/minus (108) and third in regular season games played (963), assists (406) and points (761).
