Jimmy Vesey scored the go-ahead goal in the third period and Antti Raanta stopped 30 shots as the New York Rangers extended their winning streak to six games by beating the host Columbus Blue Jackets 3-2 on Monday night.
Raanta, making his first start since Jan. 14, made two big saves in the final 23 seconds after the Blue Jackets pulled the goalie for a sixth skater and were swarming.
“It was really fun to get (in) there and just play,” said Raanta, who has had limited ice time because of a lower-body injury and the stellar play of starter Henrik Lundqvist.
