With the 150th pick of the NHL Draft, the Sharks select center Manuel Wiederer.
After spending most of his junior career in Germany, Wiederer hopped the pond this past season to play in the QMJHL for the Moncton Wildcats.
Prior to joining the QMJHL, Wiederer spent most of the two previous seasons playing in men's leagues in Germany, including 29 games in the DEL (Germany's top level league) with the Straubing Tigers.
In his first season playing North American hockey, Wiederer scored 29 goals and 35 points in just 54 games played.
