With a 5-12-4 record, NHL teams haven’t had luck coming back from their bye week this season. This didn’t seem to phase the Sharks after their week off. The Sharks (36-18-7) took off in the third period for a 4-1 win over the Canucks (26-29-6) on Saturday night. Martin Jones made 35 saves to extend the Sharks’ Pacific Division lead to 5 points.
The Sharks looked a bit rusty on their first few shifts back from their bye week. They were out shot 5-0 in the first 5 minutes, but bounced back with a barrage of shots on Ryan Miller.
