Joe Pavelski scored twice in the final two-and-a-half minutes of regulation as the San Jose Sharks overcame two two-goal deficits to send the game to overtime, but the Florida Panthers earned the full two points with a 6-5 win at the SAP Center on Wednesday night. Aleksander Barkov and Nick Bjugstad scored twice for Florida, as Jaromir Jagr picked up his 1900th career point.
The game opened with a lot of scoring. In a span of 2:52 in the first period, Florida and San Jose combined for four goals. Three of those ended up in the back of the Sharks’ net.
