It' 'Teal Town' now: Pittsburg, California, is one "h" and 2,600 or so miles from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, but the East Bay's Steel City is looking to distance itself even further from the NHL's Penguins -- at least for the duration of the Stanley Cup Finals -- with a temporary municipal name change.
If you're in the Pittsburg much closer to San Jose than to Pennsylvania, welcome to "Teal Town," a tongue-in-cheek rebrand but with a sincere nod of support to the Penguins' finals opponent, the San Jose Sharks.
"We are behind our Sharks, and we're flying the team banner on City Hall," Pittsburg Mayor Ben Johnson said in a statement.
