The San Jose Sharks looked dead in the water.
The team played well in the initial periods, getting shots on goal, but the Sharks found themselves down 2-0 going into the second period. It looked like this wasn’t going to be another disappointing exit for the team, but then a brutal hit on Vegas Golden Knights’ Paul Stastny on the Sharks’ Joe Pavelski changed the game. Pavelski had to leave the game and the Sharks had a 5-minute-long power play. That play ignited the Sharks and they scored four goals in the remaining minutes before the Knights tied it back up.
