SAN JOSE — Joe Pavelski’s heroics helped the Sharks salvage an unlikely point Wednesday night against the Florida Panthers.
Pavelski scored twice in the final 3:21 of the third period to send the game into overtime. But Jonathan Huberdeau scored just 1:38 overtime to give the Panthers a wild 6-5 win over the Sharks at SAP Center.
Pavelski scored with 37.6 seconds left in the third period to tie the game 5-5, as he took a short pass from Tomas Hertl and beat Panthers goalie Roberto Luongo for his 20th, and his most dramatic, goal of the season.
