SAN JOSE — As he nears a career milestone, Sharks forward Patrick Marleau was named one of the NHL’s Three Stars of the Week on Monday.
Marleau was named the league’s second star as he led the NHL with five goals and six points as the Sharks won two of three games and entered this week tied for first place in the Pacific Division. Marleau now stands at 498 career goals with the Sharks hosting the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday to begin their post-all-star break schedule.
Marleau tied an NHL record with four goals in one period, scoring four times in the third period of the Sharks’ 5-2 victory over Colorado on Jan.
