As a gunman opened fire on students and staff at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla., the Sharks forward’s wife, Stephanie, was driving their four-year-old son, Hudson, home from preschool in the neighborhood. If Hudson had been a teenager, he would been inside the building that housed the deadliest high school shooting in U.S. history, a tragedy that took the lives of 17 people.
“That would have been my kid’s school if he was old enough.
