Marcus Sorensen is finding his game back in his home country. Through 14 games with HC Vita Hästen, the 28-year-old forward is leading the HockeyAllsvenskan — Sweden’s second tier men’s hockey league — in goals (11) and points (24), while ranking second in assists (13).
Before joining the Sharks in 2016, Sorensen played three seasons in HockeyAllsvenskan, with Borås HC and Djurgårdens IF, as well as two seasons with the Djurgårdens IF top-tier SHL team. He hasn’t scored at a point-per-game pace since juniors, though he came close in his final year with the SHL, scoring 34 points in 47 games.
